As we say goodbye to the last long days of June and into the new month of July, there is no doubt a feeling of summer is in the air. Although we may have just said goodbye to the longest day of the year, the days this week actually seem as though they are getting longer! You no longer need to wear that jumper, tights or jeans, and can be free to leave the house in just a t-shirt! July is laying on the grass barefoot with a soft breeze flowing over your bare legs. July is ice cold lollies and bright lime palm trees. July is a time for adventure, travel, and holidays, where you can let go and feel free to relax. July is about feeling lighter and brighter; and with the sun not setting until well gone 9 each evening, it gives us the desire to do more, be more active, more social and even more happy!

For us, Sundays are all about making time for some serious relaxing! And there is nothing we enjoy more than spending an extra hour or so in bed, taking time to cook, and sneaking off somewhere quiet to catch up with our favourite blogs.

This weekend Stylonylon's Sunday Edit is brimming with great recommendations from books, to food, and even knickers. All of which constitute to a perfect Sunday for us - reading, eating and chilling at home in our favorite lounge wear - what better way to re-charge before a busy week ahead?

YONDER.Swim 

If you follow Yonder Living on Instagram or Twitter you may have noticed a bit of a recurring obsession of ours... So you can imagine how thrilled we were this week to have our Hammam Towels and Cactus Verde Bath Salts featured in the latest edition of the South East London Journal – The Swimming Pool edition. In light of this, as well as the long awaited arrival of summer, we thought would take this as an opportunity to dedicate a whole post to our life-long love of going swimming!

Let’s be honest there is probably no better place to be, in our opinion anyway, that aimlessly floating in ocean somewhere far away. And of course who could ever deny the feeling of pure bliss that comes from taking a cool dip on a hot day. But while these are certainly the kind of moments we find ourselves day dreaming about in the Yonder office come 3pm, it is the daily evening swim, in our local indoor pool, that has become our most treasured swim of all. 

In all honesty, by the time it gets to five o’clock there is often the temptation to head straight home and simply crash after a long day in office. But not once has anyone ever regretted a swim! So we go, no matter what. As soon as you are submerged in water and you start to feel the stresses of the day drift away with every length there really is nowhere else we would rather be. Even the unmistakable chemical smell of chlorine seems to act as an instant and nostalgic pick me up. 

With this post-work swim becoming a daily ritual, it is not much of a surprise that our Mediterranean Hammam Towel has become somewhat of a key item in our lives. Quite honestly how anyone lives without one is beyond us, especially if you are fond of trips to the pool, gym or spa! Super lightweight to pack and carry around, brilliantly absorbent and unbelievably quick drying, not to mention it really does adding a much needed touch of style to our somewhat boring, but practicable, black swimming costume.

As we welcome in the start of June, we think it is finally about time we had an injection of colour in our lives, and this month we simply can't get enough of bright coral shades - from zingy grapefruit to all out neon. After all it will officially be 'Summer' in London come the 21st, so let's celebrate the changing season in style! June is picnics in the park, longer, sunnier evenings. It is a time for cocktails and punch with friends, and planning our summer getaways. Morning swims and fresh gentle breezes. June is a time to refresh, often the change of season calls for a change of scenery, an opportunity to redecorate your home and wardrobe.
