We’ll let you into a little secret… We love September. While
many see this month as the end of summer, every year we meet September with
open arms! Yes the days may be getting shorter, and the weather cooler, but the
crisp mornings and moody dusks are just a reminder that there is change in the
air and a new season to enjoy!
For us September is the time we re-unite with our kitchen,
which tends to go neglected over the summer months. It is also the perfect time
for blackberry picking and taking long walks along bramble-lined paths,
searching for hidden inner city patches of green. Followed by afternoons spent
baking crumble and a week of mornings met with bowls of homemade berry muesli.
September is also when cities come alive, and whether it be
weekends away to new ones, or rediscovering the one you live in. Weekend markets are at their best with local
autumnal produce, and even if the weather takes a wrong turn there is nothing
we love more than retreating to warm coffee shops and old London pubs.
