The last week of July met Londoners with a disappointing spread
of noticeably colder days and it felt very much as though summer could have come to an abrupt end before it had ever really got going (classically British)! I found myself planning a stocking up trip to buy tights, and starting to ponder on weather we might get snow this winter. This is all of course totally crazy! It is still definitely summer, and not only because we will see temperatures rise agin for the first week of August, but also for the following reasons why ... We are still enjoying the lighter evenings, there are still summer festivals yet to come, most have got holidays booked away to hot, far flung places, we are still either attending or cooking food on barbecues & Instagram is full of dreamy pics of cocktails/pool pics/ice-creams/blue sky... & the list could go on. So lets all jump back into the summer vibe, and see what this week might bring, and not pack away our sunglasses and bikinis just yet!
